Sunday School Message

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God, Amen

As you know, our Sunday School has been a Sunday School since the day St. Michael and St. Kitanemheret Church was founded and began providing services, and it began in May 2006. This Sunday School was established by gathering young people and believers from various parts of Dallas, believing that God truly chooses His servants.

When the Sunday School began, it had 4 to 6 members, but now it has up to 25 permanent members. When we look at the state of our Sunday School, it is true that all members are participating and fulfilling their responsibilities, following the words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans, chapter 12, verse 2, “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.” When our Tewahedo Church is established in countries outside Ethiopia, Sunday schools are also born together and are used to take over the church, to solve the problems of the church together, and to share its joys together. This is an indescribable role in resisting the attacks on our church with the Creator. His Holiness Abune Theophilos, the former Second Patriarch, who helped us to establish a Sunday school in our country, carried out a great responsibility by supporting the establishment of youth spiritual associations in each church. We must realize that the Sunday school movement that we see in every church today is the result of his and other fathers.
